I was feeling a little apprehensive about the trip to LAberWrach. The weather had not been very pleasant on our last visit and the voyage to Trebeurden, though uneventful, had been very tiring. The forecast was good for a few days, however, and the plan was to hop straight round to Camaret after just one night in LAberWrach.
For once, all went to plan. I was rather unsettled by a ten minute experience of very choppy waves as we motored north of the Ile de Batz but otherwise the trip went well. I successfully picked up a mooring buoy on the first attempt of the season and we spent a calm though chilly night there.
Five years ago, we became gale-bound here and endured a few uncomfortable days being bounced around by the waves, our one night here started with a beautiful sunset and ended with a fresh sunrise revealing a clear blue sky and light winds.
