The pattern of weather had been interesting for a few days, and today was similar. A high pressure over the British Isles had set up a northeasterly flow over this coast, but each day the sun would power a sea breeze which did battle with the prevailing northeasterly and neither would ever quite win until dusk when the wind would go back to NE. This meant we could enjoy light, but variable winds each day from about 1100 until 2000. A pattern is also emerging in our management of the little crew members. With Hazel aboard watches can be shared more easily and Chris tends to sort out lunch below, after which Poppy has a couple of hours nap.
Pornichet is a very convenient marina but the rather charmless town is focused on its healthy looking tourist trade and we were happy to move on again the next day.
